Default Rear Fender Question

how hard would it be to put an early street bob rear fender on a 2012 street bob? id imagine the mounting would be easy, but the real question is more for the taillight. would it be plug and play or is it a different plug setup? or, would a 2012 superglide fender work better?

I think it is plug and play, a few guys on here have done it. If I had a newer bob, the first thing I would do is put a earlier full fender on it, I hate that newer fender setup.

i have a 2010 street bob and i put a fender from an older street bob. 2006 i think. the fender came complete with the tail light and wires. the new wires plugged right in and worked fine

i wanna say that the wiring changed for 2012. but im not 100% on that. thats why im wondering about a 2012 superglide fender. but it would be cheaper to get an older street bob fender. also, are the older taillights LED? or would i have to buy an LED setup separate?

the tail light had an old school light bulb in it when i got it (am not sure but want to say the fender is from a 2006-2008)
i have also changed the light to an led from custom dynamics with built in turn signals

I did the same thing as Napalmspork and actually used the same light from Custom Dynamics to clean up the rear. I didn't think any of the Street Bobs come with LEDs from the factory. If I remember correctly it was Plug and Play. I installed without a Load Equalizer and have been dealing with Security Light on while running as well as the rapid flashing turn signals. To be honest I don't mind the rapid flashing signal and think it makes me more visible.

It looks like the 2012s with CAN BUS don't need an equalizer. I used a fender from an 07 Street Bob.
