I don't understand. Why such poor mileage? I thought the new bikes would be more economical on fuel mileage. I know the newer bikes have bigger engines, but my evo wide glide gets as low as 47 and as high as 54 mpg.

07 bob, bone stock, 35-40 city, 50 hwy two up consistantly. \\; martin bros 2 into1 sert and intake next week. \\; we'll see what happens. \\; i'd ride if it got 10.
My '08 Bob's fuel light comes on at 155 miles, and I have pushed it to 205 highway miles before filling up. I managed to get 4.1 gallons in it. That's about 50 MPG

Just took a ride up to Santa Barbara, took the "back way" (nice bendy 2-lane road most of the way, with a bit of freeway) - filled up when I left and again when I got back...44.3 mpg (140.5 miles/3.17 gallons)
