I don't understand. Why such poor mileage? I thought the new bikes would be more economical on fuel mileage. I know the newer bikes have bigger engines, but my evo wide glide gets as low as 47 and as high as 54 mpg.
Holy schneikies, I get 35-37 on my stage one tc88 Wide Glide. Would love to get over 40...

My '08 Bob's fuel light comes on at 155 miles, and I have pushed it to 205 highway miles before filling up. I managed to get 4.1 gallons in it. That's about 50 MPG

NOT TRUE. As far as my wife is concerned, I got the Harley to save gas. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

I have an 03 carbureted Wide Glide. Just filled up tonight, 111.2 miles of combined riding - mostly city, some highway - 2.78 gallons = 40mpg. Basic mods - nothing fancy - see sig. I do tend to have an aggressive right wrist, though [\\]

Just took a ride up to Santa Barbara, took the "back way" (nice bendy 2-lane road most of the way, with a bit of freeway) - filled up when I left and again when I got back...44.3 mpg (140.5 miles/3.17 gallons)
