I don't understand. Why such poor mileage? I thought the new bikes would be more economical on fuel mileage. I know the newer bikes have bigger engines, but my evo wide glide gets as low as 47 and as high as 54 mpg.

NOT TRUE. As far as my wife is concerned, I got the Harley to save gas. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

I have an 03 carbureted Wide Glide. Just filled up tonight, 111.2 miles of combined riding - mostly city, some highway - 2.78 gallons = 40mpg. Basic mods - nothing fancy - see sig. I do tend to have an aggressive right wrist, though [\\\\\\\\\\\\\\]
