Default 2012 fat bob debaffle

ive been reading about getting some more sound out of the stock tommygun exhaust. from what ive read it seems lots of people are passing on bad information. here is what ive done so far.
i originally removed the baffles then went ahead and punched out the disks that are welded inside and drilled half inch holes all over it. result is a slightly louder bike but not by much. very dissapointed. i removed the baffles and heat wrap all together and the bike sounds great. deep and very loud. not much loss in the bottom end. it runs very lean now. popping way too much even between shifts it will pop. the efi system did not adjust
has anybody successfully debaffled thier exhaust

Welcome to the Forum. Are you sure it has a deeper sound? Normally without baffles bikes develop a ratty higher end sound.

copy that! some members here were quite happy with putting aftermarket baffels in there tommy guns, my buddies bike sounds pretty good with just baffles and he didnt have to get a fuel controller.

and yes tommy guns sound awesome with the baffles pulled, very deep rumble! but backfires between gears and decel pops bad when you roll off the throttle

Yep, put me on that list of tried it and then finally gave up and bought aftermarket exhaust. Went with cycle shack baffles, and a no cat head pipe and it sounded really mean, but the burning leg was just to much for me out here in the desert. My V&H pro pipe 2-1 is actually quieter lol.

Drilling out the plugs might be enough for some. Didn't satisfy me I eventually went with a D&D FatCat and SEPST.

I took my baffles out cut them in half and made it sound a little better but I broke down and bought the V&H big radius 2 into 1 and love it I also put the V&H fuelpak on. Soon i will be getting rid of the fuelpak and getting the TTS master tune.

I de-baffled My stock 2011 mufflers and had the heat shields and mufflers ceramic coated. I then added a set of Big City Thunder baffles. The performance and look of the pipe was really good. I just got tired of all black so I took them off and replaced them with a Bassani 2-1 Roadrage pipe. I went chrome this time around....
