... to the Softail side. Last week I traded in my '08 Street Bob for a 2010 Fatboy. See my signature for a quick pic. It came with the bags and windshield and I added the V&H Propipe.
I was looking for something to better suit my needs for 2-up riding. I love having my GF with me and she loves riding too. So what got me on the Fattie was the 300 mile test ride we took on it during Memorial Day weekend. That bike handles great.
Thanks for all the great advice along the way. I'll be sure to stop by and visit on a regular basis.
Enjoy it! I really like the look of the Fat Boy. Maybe one day soon one will reside by Fat Bob. Then I'll be the odd man out, or I could just eat a lot of fat cakes!
Great looking bike. I'm glad you found what you like. Just out of curiosity, what shocks did you have on the Bob? I have ridden both of my father in laws bikes with the wife and they don't have anymore room than the Dyna. They are a Heritage and a Softail Deluxe. The reason I asked about the shocks is because I have watched my mother in law take a beating from rough roads on the Deluxe, and my wife has no problem on the Dyna. The deluxe sits really low and I have the tallest Dyna made with lots of suspension. I wonder if different shocks would have made a difference for you. Then again, a Bob wouldn't look as good as a Fatboy I'd it was jacked up in the back.
