I have read many different threads on this subject but still can't find an answer if this is normal or not.
I had a local shop (not dealership) install new Pirelli Night Dragons and the front tire has a slight oscillation on decel. This is my first motorcycle 2011 FXDWG and I was uncomfortable with it, I thought maybe something was loose, it was not balanced, my spokes needed to be tightened, etc...
So I took it back to the shop that put the tires on and he rode it and said that it was normal for a Pirelli to wobble some. I can look at the tire when riding and see it oscillating slightly. So I am looking for a second opinion.
Is my bike safe to ride? Is he correct that a new Pirelli wobbles some? It does not make the bike un ride-able but I wish it was smooth like before.
I call BS on the shop. Why would a tire manufacturer make a tire that wobbles when others don't? It's like making a competitor for Coke, but mine tastes like sewer water. It's normal though, so just drink it
I too have the Pirelli Night Dragons on my WG. Awesome tire and there is no Wobble here. Just a great, smooth, sticky, tire with no wobble. Tell him we all say he's full of crap. They might have bent your rim and dont have the ***** to man up to it.
