Need to make a correction to a reply I posted a couple of weeks ago regarding a question about the accessory plug located under the seat. I mentioned a "black rubber connector with boot" that contained four pins that were "hot" when the ign switch was set to "acc" or "on." That is still accurate, but the actual accessory plug is a gray plastic connector that is also buried down under with all the other wire bundles. There is a cap that needs to be removed, then HD harness #70270-04 can be plugged into it to allow multiple items to be run off the charging system. I've included pics of the connector with cap on/off for more accurate parts identification.
Sorry for my error - will be much more careful in the future.

that grey one isnt the accessory plug, it is the B+, or Battery P&A as designated in the manual.
It is a hot 12V, and is UNFUSED. The accessory port is fused. and is as previously described (black rubber boot/cap etc).
Edit: went and rechecked my manual, you are correct Sir. Actually we're both correct.
The Grey plastic connector is the P&A (power and accessory) connector, the black rubber plugged connnector is the Customer Accessory connector.

Is the P&A really unfused? I am just about to use it and I guess that would be good to know! Thanks.

Well, this is curious. According to the manual, the "P & A" plug is protected by a 2 amp fuse (not much protection!). But I looked at my fuse panel and there's just an empty slot where that fuse is supposed to be - I don't know if the MoCo deleted or I got robbed or what. Two slots below that is a 15 amp fuse which protects the "Accessory" plug which I believe is the 4-pin black rubber connector described earlier in this thread. Anyhow, will definitely have to do more research if/when I ever wire up any add-ons....

I had to have an accessory plug...so I went with a BMW acc. plug.
I used a BMW accessory plug and got it wired to the Battery. Just need to paint the mounting tab flat black to hide it better. I had them on other bikes besides my BMW's. Very well made too!

Affirmative, the so called B+ connector is unfused.
Thanks! It is hot all the time, but I ASSumed that it used one of the multitude of 15amp fuses in the fuse block. I was going to use if for heated gloves--perhaps the accessory plug (which I didn't know about) would be a better choice.
