Seems like the 48H is popular. It have it in my 106 build but it hasn't been started yet.

I appreciate all the feedback. Lots of good information, so thank you for all the input. I have quite awhile to make a decision. I won't be making the switch until next spring so I'll continue doing some research on the subject. I'm not even going to pretend I have the knowledge on cams to make a decision without doing a lot of talking to some educated folks (preferably folks who aren't trying to sell me something). The more I think about it I'm sure I want that low to mid range torque so I'll keep reading.

I went with the S&S 583 Easy Start Cams and I am very satisfied with that choice. Sticking with the Fuel Pak will hold you back a little bit, but I kept mine for the time being and worked back and forth with the Vance & Hines tech to come up with a reasonably good program for it to work with the cam. Will go to a better ECM tune and dyno when I break the motor open for more serious work. Could not see the sense in spending $1000 for a new tuner and dyno tune to gain a few extra horsepower and lbs/ft. The Easy Start cams also eliminate the need for compression releases if you bore out the motor later.
