I just put a one piece detachable on my 2011. You will for sure need the docking hardware kit and the turn signal relocation kit. Then either a one piece detachable or detachable sideplates and separate sissy bar. The wiring was a HUGE pain. If I had to do it over again I would have just had the dealer do it.

If you use rigid mount you do not need the signal relocate kit

Get one from haulenass.com, they look better and anyone can install it in a few minutes. I change mine out daily based on the whims of my girlfriend, takes five minutes, and no extra hardware is required.

Yes, but I have the tall/old school one-piece detachable.
