I had the same type of issues with a Samson Ray Price caliber pipe. I also like the look and sound but it lacked quality. I switched to a Kerker 2 into 1 that I am very happy with, it has lasted longer and cost about $150.00 less than the Samson.

You are not the first to have issues with the welds cracking on the Samson pipes, it seems like every HD board that I am on, there is someone who has had an issue with this brand of pipes. I can say that Ive never seen a cracked VH pipe, or a post about one...there have been a few about mounting brackets cracking, but they have been few and far between.......I have VH short shots and have nothing but good things to say about them.....

ive been running V&H big shots on my current bike and the last one, since 05, ande had never had an issue with either....dont recall them coming up on the 4m's with any issues either..
