Yup, I checked out the 19" and the 18" rims... I wanted a lower profile. The 16" was actually pretty cool but just doesn't look right on that front end to me.
I think for the most part the whole 'black' things was getting old and became less flexible for me as far as what I could do with my bike. I don't mind some chrome but these days black is the new chrome... and I'm sure that the whole black out trim will start dying off when riders start marginalizing it... *shrugs*
I seem to recall you had over-length fork tubes installed at one point ...? I think the stock length forks or even lowered would improve the looks ...
I like the looks from the front ... from the 'starboard bow' ... but, abeam the look seems a little 'off' ...
Probably looks better with you sitting on it ... gets the 'sag' and drops the overall suspension some ...
It does appear that you've slid the fork tubes up in the triple trees about an inch already (or do my eyes deceive me?) ... so, I guess that isn't going to do it ...

As to the comment of it looking like a 'bar hopper' or whatever ... tell you what: the balloon front tire really soaks up the road 'feel' ... allows you to roll up the miles better than with a 'pizza cutter' front tire ...
I think it would look a lot better with a front fender. But what do I know.
Exactly what I'd have said...I think a fender up front would make it look more complete... I think a 21" without a fender could work, but the smaller diameter rim looks like something is missing. But what do I know?
