Yup, I checked out the 19" and the 18" rims... I wanted a lower profile. The 16" was actually pretty cool but just doesn't look right on that front end to me.

I think for the most part the whole 'black' things was getting old and became less flexible for me as far as what I could do with my bike. I don't mind some chrome but these days black is the new chrome... and I'm sure that the whole black out trim will start dying off when riders start marginalizing it... *shrugs*

I seem to recall you had over-length fork tubes installed at one point ...? I think the stock length forks or even lowered would improve the looks ...

I like the looks from the front ... from the 'starboard bow' ... but, abeam the look seems a little 'off' ...

Probably looks better with you sitting on it ... gets the 'sag' and drops the overall suspension some ...

It does appear that you've slid the fork tubes up in the triple trees about an inch already (or do my eyes deceive me?) ... so, I guess that isn't going to do it ...

* * *

As to the comment of it looking like a 'bar hopper' or whatever ... tell you what: the balloon front tire really soaks up the road 'feel' ... allows you to roll up the miles better than with a 'pizza cutter' front tire ...

My opinion: Change from Wide Glide trees to Fat Bob trees, 2 inch shorter fork tubes, no tank lift and a Fat Bob front fender.

Or, a black 19 inch wheel with fat rubber.

I love the 16 inch wheels though, the handling, to me, is so much better.

Fork brace and some apes. Looks good already but I think adding those 2 would add to the look.

ok, slid the forks up in the trees 2.5 inches to simulate stock fork length.. with a fender it should look ok?

Exactly what I'd have said...I think a fender up front would make it look more complete... I think a 21" without a fender could work, but the smaller diameter rim looks like something is missing. But what do I know?

I think it looks too raked out for that fat tire on front. Maybe some apes could help it out? Lowering and front fender would help for sure.

Regardless, if it looks good to you, screw my opinion. Enjoy it!

Much better, a fender, black on the trees/tubes and you are there.
