ignition switch

hey ive been wanting to put in a sort of kill switch before the ignition that way i can leave the key in the on position, sorta like the softtails but i just wanna splice into a wire and put a cheap toggle. anyone done this?

the red wire going to your ignition switch is the power feed. You could put a toggle in that wire anywhere between the switch and the fuse panel and it would work. This has been on my mod list for a while just haven't gotten to it yet. I'm going to use a small black push switch and hide it somewhere on the bike.

The hardest part is finding a spot for the switch. I have all the stuff and wired it up but really couldn't decide where to put the switch.

see thats what my problem was too, i had good idea of which wire it was. just looking for a good spot , but i guess thats better kept secret anyway right.
