Wide Glide Tank Weld Showing

After removing the tank bibb the weld on the tank is visible where the tank meets the horn of the seat. Is there a way to adjust the stock seat so that the weld isn't obvious without resorting to another tank bibb?

If I remember, the weld runs from the bottom of the console to the seat. Not sure how you'll cover it without a bib of some sort.

You could always use body putty and a grinder and repaint....

Short of a bib that is about your only choice if it bothers you.

Harley sells a nice looking chrome bib that hides the weld, in addition to the usual leather one.

From: Back in the Good Ole USA. South Carolina to be exact.

I threw the tank bib away cause I had it off for cleaning and noticed it was rubbing a spot on the tank. The seam is noticible, but I still like the look w/out it.

Now I'm trying to figure out how to replace that huge console and keep the speedo and ignition on the tank.

I did the same thing....ended up upgrading from the short dash, to a full length. Looks much better, and depending on your year/style there are black or chrome available. I like chrome
