The back rest looks good phreak but I wonder why they've got the side rails so big. It seems to me they could've gone with a smaller "U" shape bracket with a couple of small gussets front and rear to support the sissy bar? Looks good and I'm sure the wife likes it.

i agree with you on the phirst issue, but my wife doesn't.
we'll see, she says i'd lose street cred .
don't know why the sides of it are so wide. maybe somebody thought it looked too small otherwise. the "receiver" part where the bar goes in is boxed, but the holes phor the bolts don't go through both sides, which is phine with me.
