Bought my Wide Glide about 2 weeks ago. It was Big Blue Pearl and now Black.
I hate to post pics while I'm in the middle of a project BUT I would never start a thread without pics.
This is my first "Street" motorcycle, but have had the itch for quite some time. My wife and I went through the course and she caught the "bug" as well. We bought her an 07 1200 Low, peal white with 1,100 KM.
I am loving my bike and have already put 1,500K on it.
I come from the BMW moddin scene and my "Cage" is a heavily modded 700HP BMW M3. The bike is a different world and I must say I am super STOKED and can't get enough!
Started my mods but many more on the way.
So far:
- Plastidipped a bunch Black
- Progressive 12" shocks
- Removed sissy bar, rear seat
- Le Pera Solo Seat
Next Mods (should arrive wednesday)
- V&H Big Radius 2 to 2 Black
- SE Pro Tuner
- Heavy Breather
- Bib
- A bunch of little Sh*t...
And many many more plans to come!
This forum has been a wealth of knowledge, and much appreciated!
Welcome bro! Good thing your wife got a bike too, hopefully she will understand the want to always mod the bike. My wife barely ever rides with me and gives me hell for spending on the bike. Have fun and be safe!
Am I missing something? Why does your wide glide have the street bob taillight? I thought they had a bare fender with the signals being dual filament, acting as the tailight?
Not familiar with the plastidip. You saying you coated a bunch of parts with black plastic?
Plasti Dip is a rubberized coating that peels right off when you want to remove. I painted the fenders, tank, forks and lights. I have used it before on my cars and it is pretty awesome stuff and extremely durable!

Yeah but I'm in Canada and they put that big *** light on my fender, I am getting rid of that very soon. In Canada the plate must be visible from 180 degrees so it technically cannot be side mounted.

Nice looking rides!
LOL, had to be a Harley! I love my WG, the thing is a effin beast but right now sounds like a Vespa. My M3 is WAY louder. Exhaust comes in tomorrow!!! Time to wake the beast!
