Crank run-out
It all seems quite within my reach. I do have a couple questions though (and I'm sure there will be some that pop up along the way) so here is one;
Crank run-out! Do I need to worry about it? I have read a couple threads and they seem to lean toward not worrying about it unless I'm putting in gear drive cams, which I'm not.
The bike only has about 6000ish miles on it plus I'm using chain drive cams plus I wouldn't know how to check it, nor do I have the tool plus the whole thing just scares me...lol
Thoughts?
(This is when you guys come on here and say, "You'll be fine, just throw the new cams in there!" or, "6000 miles?! Do you ever even ride the thing?! Run-out smun-out, plug those cams in and fire that smoke wagon up!!" or, "No gear drivin cams? Don't worry about that run-out, cam it and take that sled for a ride!!!")
If you can measure it, sure why not. But it seems you'll have two outcomes if you're installing a chain-drive cam: either "hey, I could have installed a gear drive cam!" or "whoah, good thing I'm installing a chain-drive cam!"
Put in the cams and ride it, you'll be fine, 6000 miles yada yada yada.

Fookin' win win...
This is comin' from a guy with limited knowledge on things like this (me)...

Could have stayed with the chain drives to save cash but it didnt make sense to do so. One of my plastic tensioners was pretty eaten up which in turn scored my oil pump.
Word of advice, check or have your crank run out verified before spending the dough on a set of gear drive cams.
