got a j & s jack for xmas , works great on a 2003 wide glide for motor oil changes , transmission oil change you are better of just removing the plug with a pan on the floor with out the bike on the jack .. the rear bar of the jack is really close to the plug ...
If you're referring to the Torin Big Red that Pep Boys sells forget it. Dynas require a jack adapter to be able to use it. I e-mailed Torin...they do not offer any adapters for that jack.
I bought mine 2 years ago when I had a Suzuki Boulevard C90. Worked fine with that bike. I was surprised when it didn't work with my '06 Street Bob. Did some research and found out I needed an adapter. A couple of other jack companies sell them so I might buy one and try it with the Torin.
I have it and it works fine for what you want to do. You will need an adapter as others said - It can be had at your local dealer for ...$14 I think. I paid $29 for my jack and $14 for the adapter. Works like a charm.
I just bought a jack adapter for my WG from the HD dealer in town. These pieces fit on the frame to give it a lower spot for the jack to hitso the jack will work on the scooter. Only cost $23 out the door. Same thing was over $30 elsewhere and wasn't specifically for the WG.

The plastic adapters from the stealer cost around $23 as glidermike has mentioned. Worth about $5 - but we all know how it is. Needed as the dyna pan is below the frame. Necessary and works fine.
Not sure I'd put a $15K motorcycle on a $29 jack, but that's just me,
Do a search in the forum - not sure the Pep Boys is covered - but if it's $29 - I'd stay away
I dont know Glide05 but it was on sale before Christmas down to $29 from$79so I bought It. It hasent had a problem yet and I dont think the price has anything to do with the reliabilty of the jack it seems to work just fine. I could have bought the Sears lift but then again a 15k Bike on a $90 lift - whats the difference.
