What would be the best way to avoid DC traffic. I've used I-95N to I-495N to I-270 to US-15 and wind up setting in traffic every time.
Is I-95N to exit 152B Va-234N to US-15N a better way to go on a bike?

Not a bad event over all. I just don't care for the idea of forcing you to pay gate fee to get into the vendor area. A large percentage of people turn around and walk away, which has caused many vendors to no longer attend this show. Still, there is plenty of other stuff to do!

Don't take 234, it kinda out of the way and sucks. I live right off 15 and when I head to/from 95, I use 17/29/15
If you need/want additional info, send me a pm

Agreed, and unless wifey wants to see the band we don't pay to see vendors. That's why places like the wax museum are gaining in popularity with vendors.

I live off 15 as well but further North than Baseman. I'll vouch for 15 being the way to go but don't know when to cut over. I'd go with what Baseman said though.

Buddy and I headed up a few years ago when Molly Hatchet was playing. Found out we had to buy a ticket good for the whole Bike Week instead of just that day. Think there was another additional cost. We found enough vendors and people at the Harley dealer decided to keep our money and head home. Worth the ride.

Two years ago I got up the afternoon of the last day. No admission at that point and vendors were starting to pack up. Seemed like there were quite a bit of vendors. Even picked up a good deal on something.

I plan to attend this year. Love Kix and really hoping to see the show. Saw them last year at Outlaw Jam. Still trying to decipher fees though. Looks like you can buy a one day ticket but someone told me you also have to pay for a campsite? Making it at least $45 per person? Hope that guy is wrong. Love Kix but I'm not paying $45+ to see them a browse some vendors. Somebody please confirm.

Not this year. We're heading a different direction and getting out of town next weekend for Wifey's birthday (which is Wed)

Been up there numerous times and when we did pay to get in, it was always just a daily pass. It was 15 bucks a person for Fri/Sat

For $15, you'll get into what you want/need to get into. (Kix & vendors)

From the campground website -

Day & Concert admission passes to Bike Week do not include full access to Granite Hill Camping Resort. Full access to Granite Hill’s facilities (including bath houses, pool, stocked pond, campsites, etc.) is restricted to those who have reserved campsites ONLY.

Thanks Baeseman I've run US-17 from Fredericksburg to Winchester and remember seeing US-15N
