What year wideglide? I can't speak for anything before 2006...but the forks/sliders you're mentioning definitely will not fit 2006 - later wideglides. 06-later WG fork legs have a larger diameter compared to the softail forks (or previous year WG fork legs for that matter).
Hope this helps

I always try to use the HD accessory catalog to figure this stuff out. According to the catalog 00-05FXDWG shares fork sliders with 00-later FXST and FXSTC models. Chrome # is 46477-00 around $256 from Zanotti HD. Probably need seals and fluid.

I did my last year 05 wide glide. It was not to hard . I would make sure you have a service manual I would say thats a MUST. I used no special tools but did have to make up tool from pvc pipe to install seals. This was my first time tearing down a front end took a couple hours and no problems. Good luck

rip, the springs do have some pressure comin out and going back in.
Fine threads on the caps, so be real careful during the reassembly.

Special tools -
.......6 mm long reach allen wrench (05 back Dynas and vRods).
Gotta reach in about 2 inches.
The 06 and up Dynas use a 12mm allen head.
I made one by cutting off anL shaped wrench
and inserting this into a 12mm deep socket.

......1/2 drive impact wrench for the 12mm bolt into the oil lock.
Had to hammer on mine REAL hard.
Some folks say their's comes out real easy.

.......rig up a holding fixture. picture of my rig below.
Last picture shows PVC for driving in the seals.
Forgot to snap a shot, so this picture shows the after assembly.

........Like conley said, service manual is a must.

.......Order the seals and such ahead of time so you have everything on hand.

Sliders are cool, but withsome elbow grease you can get the stock ones looking just as good.....just a thought.
