Default 07 Street Bob Parts

I'm taking the Bob into the dealership to have the SERT, SE Stage 1 AC, and V&H Straightshot Slip-ons installed. Is is a practice for the dealership to keep the OEM parts? I went and had HD Forward Controls and saw nothing else of my mids. Guess I should have asked. Anyways, I know I will get the OEM pipes back, but what can I expect to get back when they install the Stage 1 AC. If anyone is in need of these parts, let me know. I will have no need for them. It's better than letting the dealership swallow them up.

I'm sure they are more than willing to steal your parts if you let them.

Not sure you will have anything useful left from the air cleaner upgrade, but you should probably keep it just in case.

When I bought my bike I had the dealer install a bunch of extras and never even thought to ask for the take-offs. Since then, every time they've installed anything, I've demanded (not asked) that they give them back...and they were more than happy to...or at least they pretended they were more than happy to

I'm glad I did ask for parts back..as many of them have been sold since.

Point is, they won't offer them back...but they will give them back if you ask...every single piece.

An old dealer practice. If you don't ask they will keep the parts.
