Default Help! Cam pulling tool

I have the TC 96. I have the Heartland Products cam bearing puller/installer.

Anybody ever use it? Do I just bam that thing into the existing bearings with a rubber mallet?

Is there a video?

HELP!

Make sure the expander rod is a little loose in the puller. Wiggle and push gently worked for me. Same tools. Patience is the key here.

If it is like a standard blind bearing puller I agree, no bamming. You should be able to bend it slightly so it will fit in the bearing.

ok, so I'm supposed to squeeze the jaws together all the way? then put the remover body over it with the washer and the nut, snug it down and tap the rod in to expand the jaws, then crank the nut, pulling the bearing?

Good luck. Sorry about that, I thought it was like a standard blind bearing puller that is threaded. I have never used a bearing puller like you describe, hope it works out for you.
