Default Tires

I know asking questions on here about topics that have been beaten to death goes over like a fart in church so I'll ask, anyone know of a couple good threads about tires for a Dyna?

Or, if anyone feels like beating it to death some more...

Thanks

Dyna or no Dyna, if you have not at least tried the Metzler Marathon 880s, you owe it to yourself. They stick like glue. Some people love the Avons.

I know if someone gave me Dunlop 407s & 408s for free, they'd go on eBay the very next day.

The Michelin Commander II is also a great choice. Night and day difference from the old Dunlops.

+1 on the Metz. ME880s! Been running them for years. Do yourself a favor.....Reguardless of your choice of manufaturers, Make the rear a radial...it will make those road sakes (Butt wiggles) go away.

Best wishes....Tim(HT)

I've been loving my metzelers, the profile is more round than the dunlops also. I immediately noticed that I could throw the bike, side to side easier.. I have read on here that people say the Avons are stickier.

Just a rear radial, not a front? How do I know if they're radials or not? The Metzelers site doesn't say.

No Pirelli fans?

I have night dragons front and back, I like them better than the stock Michelins

Default Couldn't Help But Notice

I couldn't help but notice that NOBODY has ever said that they would put back on the same tire as the bike came with originally. My Road King came with Dunlops that appear to be wearing very well. At 11,000 miles I'm just starting to think about possibly replacing the front and the rear seems to be wearing fine. What's the stigma with using the OE tire as the replacement tire?

On another note, can a 180 be put on my bike without mods? If so, what difference would a wider tire have on the ride/performance?
