I'm not a great fan of the completely blacked out bikes , but i don't like to much chrome either , Ive tried to keep a balance between the polished ally and vivid black , kind of like an old British bike look from the 50,s or 60,s with just an touch of chrome on the clocks , indicators and slip ons ..
, Ive got a couple of little bits to do , but nothing major , just a black rear sprocket and maybe the gear linkage ,
you choose , but subtle looks classy IMHO

Chrome. You should have opted for a poll on this one.

I like black but like chrome better. Plus, the bike has plenty black stock, especially in Vivid Black.

This forum is GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for all the opinions. Exactly why I posted the question. Chrome for sure!!!! And with chrome I get to spend more time with the bike cleaning it.

I know the backrest looks like crap but it there for the wife. Need to invest in a detachable backrest but my bags are detachable and that may be an issue. I have the sundowner seat and it doesn't look as bad when it's on there but then again I hate the sundowner seat. Just way to big on the bike. The solo seat is way more comfortable. Sorry got off topic. Thanks again for all the feedback from all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CHROME 4 SURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chrome, by a long shot. I would ditch the bags and the windshield unless you are going on a long ride. I have the detachable w/shield on my 09 FXDC and only use it if I am going to ride more than 200 miles. I also put HD pullback risers on mine, looks and feels better. My bike looks pretty much like your chrome version and if anything, I will add more chrome. If I wanted the blacked out look I would trade for a Fatbob or Streetbob.
