Forgot to add..I currently have the HD Ventilator on there now. If I measure from the breather bolt to the outside cover, it's 4" exactly. I don't know what the stock intake measures as I haven't had it in a long time.
Is it possible to tell me the s&s measurement, breather bolt to outside cover? If it's more than the 4" I may just stick with the ventilator.
Whereabouts on the breather bolt are you measuring? The machined surface the breather bolts sit on to would seem like a good idea as the height of the top of the bolt will vary.

measuring touching the engine (right above the breather bolt) to the outside cover..
Ive heard it hits the tank on some dyna models, not to reopen this but any updates if it fits comfortable on a 07 street bob - not sure I want it hitting the tank.
I am thinking of ordering the chrome one and powdercoating it gloss black so I suppose I could always shave it down before coating
I also read some people put spacers and longer bolts on to clear the tank

Plenty of clearance on dynas. Was a problem on some touring models.
