Default Changed bars dumb question.

I had drag bars with 8" risers, my streetbob came with drags. Thanks to the forum I picked up stock mini apes and stock risers. The install went ok few problems here and there overall no big problems.
Took for test spin everything felt good, remembered the made in Taiwan sticker I kept seeing in grip and desided to remove it. Looked in grip end and it's gone.

It's on a black plug in the end of drag bars should I have put that plug in the end of my apes?

Another question while moving front end found my steering lock wouldn't engage, pushed pin out a little and moved/aligned it with a screwdriver and it worked. After riding it shifted again, is there something that tightens that? No noticeable movement in key
Any help appreciated.

But it could be the grips you are using and that is all, you might want to consider new grips or finding a replacement part.

Was you steering turned completely to the left, I have noticed that when I engage my steering head lock, I have to turn my steering head to the right slightly to get the lock to engage, I do believe this is common. Nothing to worry about.

Where in MD you live, I am down in Southern MD.

There is a black plastic pushing plug in the ind of my drag bars, not sure if I should have put it in my apes. Maybe to keep water out of bars.

Never had a prob w lock before wont lock unless I move it.

My lock seems to have adjusted itself, after a few rides it has been locking ok.

Still not sure if I should pull the plastic plugs out of my drag bars and put them into my mini apes. Is anyone running the vintage bobber grips on stock bars? If you look in the hole at the end of the grips ois the a plastic plug in your bars?

Concerned with water getting in hole and into bars, if its normal I wont worry about it.

Link to grips I have, maybe I need to get a pic of my old drags.

I have never had plugs in the end of my bars, have now run 3 different sets on my bike. No issues.

Thanks, looks like they will be plugless unless I have to remove them for some other reason.

No end plugs, and frankly you don't want them. Any water does get inside the bars for whatever reason, it has nowhere to go if you plug the ends.
