I finally got my Ohlins mounted up and set up. Howard from Motorcyclemetal.com was awesome the whole way through. Now about the shocks, best money I have ever spent. I ride the LA freeways all the time and my shocks were horrible, huge bounces, bumps etc. These smoothed it all out. Mentally I know where the hard bumps are and had to force myself to relax when I was going over them, no more 12 inches off my seat. Awesome. Don't think twice. I had progressives before, no comparison.... pics soon...
Thnx for the thread. Don't know what part # Progressive's I have on my Dyna, but all I know is, they suck! Yes, they are short, but for the love of Pete,,,,have some sort of compression strength will ya. I bought a set of stock Dyna (gonna hate the "look") shocks and will be swapping out.
I got the #4's. I put them on, dialed the sag in and put 300 miles on them the next day, then readjusted them. They completely changed my mind about my bike. Doing the front suspension next, going race tech, if that doesn't make me happy then I will certainly get a front end from Howard...

Good to know I bought #4's off of another member(Panimal) just waiting on them to arrive. How are they now after having them this long? and what did you ever do about your front suspension?
I got JRI's from Howard as well (G version) and even with the FXDXT shocks on my bike these are so much better. I have only put about 150 miles so far due to weather but will redo sag again once I get enough miles. I think it might actually not rain this weekend so we will see. I feel the same way about my freeway commute now. I wanted Ohlins but Howard talked me in to the JRI's as they are really a better shock. I am a firm believer in good suspension making the ride, especially on a Harley. Inexpensive? Nope. Well worth it? Absolutely. My bike comes with Showa cartridge forks so no need to do much to the front but race tech springs and race tech gold valves which I did at the same time. This bike is on rails now. Stock suspension sucks. Progressives will never compare to a good shock. The FXDXT rear shocks are going on the sporty and the Progressives on there are going up for sale. http://www.motorcyclemetal.com/gpage39.html
