Default Heading south

Well I'm planning on heading south this weekend or Monday. The plan is to head down to GA for a couple days, Charlotte for a couple, Richmond for a couple and back up through WV, eastern OH and home to MI (just north of Detroit).

I just did my cams and new exhaust and had it tuned. I put the quiet baffles in before the tune. I have to say, I don't like the sound of the quiet baffles and HATE the upper motor noise the bike has now after the cams.

I guess I'll have to deal with it on the trip. I'll probably deal with it through the rest of the season and deal with it this winter.

Well I guess if the bike blows up on the trip I'll know I did something wrong. If not...cool!

Have a great ride! I hope the bike works well. Rt 250 in VA then across WV to eastern Ohio is a decent road.

Sounds like an epic trip...enjoy and ride safe. The top end noise may subside after a few hundred miles.

Make sure you do the Blue Ridge Parkway.
If you want a place to crash in the Asheville NC/Johnson City TN area let me know.

Well, I've put over 700 miles on it in the last two days and it's as loud as ever.

Doing something about those push-rods or lifters or both has got to help...

Have you had the same issue and it faded with time (miles)?

I'll be doing some research and it'll be a winter project...

Hey thanks man, that's pretty awesome of ya, I'll keep it in mind.

I've been on that BR Parkway before in a car and yeah, I'll be tryin' to hit it again on the bike if I can fit it in. It's a sweet spot!

If there is a problem, I hope you find it before the trip. If all is ok but noisy, ear plugs or earbuds and an mp3 will make the ride possibly more enjoyable. Just a thought, and have a great safe trip... tomp/dd50
