my switchback goes from full fairing tour pak solo tourer to a stripped dyna in a minute flat
leave all that crap in the motel room and cruise a normal bike
slap the crap back on for the ride home
best of both worlds
with a batwing and lowers my bike is better on the freeway than my electraglide
2 up electraglide wins hands down
floorboards have been on harleys since 1913
good idea then good idea now
if the fairing would have pulled off my e glide I might not have bought the dyna
just because I changed my bike in to a convertible tourer/cruiser doesn't mean it can replace my glide.
a king tour pak is an amazing thing when you are shopping or camping and it looks just retarded as hell on a switchback
for long solo runs I am takin the dyna
2 up the glide is the bike
dyna baggers open up a new spot
sport touring

When you buy a bike it's yours to do with as you please, i have my own opinions but if what you've done to your bike makes you happy then go with it, just because it's a Dyna it doesn't mean it can't have a faring, windshield or floor boards, people spend too much time listening to douche bags like Jessy James, do with your bike as you please it's your bike.

I have been taking stuff off constantly. I personally like the blacked out, stripped down, good handling Dyna. Most of what I've done reflects this but that doesn't mean I don't like anything else. I guess it would be nice to carry a bottle of water along on a ride.

Previously owned a Heritage, Street Glide and Road Glide, and none of those were as much fun to ride as the Dyna is, for me. Yeah, I put on a windshield, soft bags, sundowner and hiway pegs, but I don't think that makes it a buffalo. It still handles better than the other Harleys I have owned.

AFMM3, I really love the look of your SB/60 Duo. One of the nicest modern/retro bikes I have ever seen... tomp dd50

Mine does both... all quick detach - windshield, bags, backrest, touring seat... all comes off in seconds to reveal a boulevard brawler.

Saw some pics Sunday of a Road King Classic, with apes... guess they read my mind.. sorta.

My motto to each his own, personally everything on my SG is quick detach windshield, backrest and throwover saddlebags. I purchased it for the twisties so floor boards are out of the question.
