08 street bob wheels on a 06 street bob ????

08 and up 25mm bearings are single row and 07 and below1 inch bearings are double row.... meaning the 25mm are alot narrower... a normal 07 and below double row bearing is not going to press far enough into the bore of an 08 and above wheel... you need 6205-16-2RS single row 1 inch bearings and you will be all set... you can get them here http://www.vxb.com/page/bearings/PROD/Kit7940 and they can also be found on ebay... I just did this putting an 09 crossbone wheel on the back of my 07 fxd...

New spacers had to be machined to get it to work. Make sure you get the right bearings because if the depth is off on the bearing it won't sit right in the hub and might require some machining . Honestly I would never have went this route had I known what a pain it in the *** it was going to be. If you can just wait till you get some wheels that have the same axle and bearing size for your bike to save you all the trouble. Just my two cents.
