The pipes are turned out; there is no heat shield. Cutting the turnouts off.. hm, that's an option I hadn't thought of. I like the look of them though! It's an idea to consider, thanks for that NSCoyote.
try the lolipop type mod before cutting it, (eye bolt and washers as previously posted by another user) you might find with a bit of tweaking it will do what you need it too as well as retain the nice turnout looks
