I got a pair of SE slip-ons. Undid the main bolts for the support bracket and took off bracket from both front and rear. Undid clamp. Everything is free but the stock muffler pipe is hard to budge. Took me an hour to get it to move 1/4 an inch. Tried rubber mallet , twisting, pulling, leverage. Won't come off. It is like someone applied superglue or something.
Anyone else have this happen?

Yes, this happened to me. Try spraying wd40 where the muffler and header pipe meet. Once it gets between the two parts you should be able to twist the muffler off the header pipe without using undo force or implements of mass destruction. Then thoroughly clean the header pipe before installing the new muffler.
yes, keep working it...spray some lubricant around the area(pb blaster or similar). when you slip on your new mufflers, get some anti-sieze and put it on the inside of the new muffler and on the end of the pipe. should help to go on and keep it from siezing in case some time in the future you want to remove the mufflers. good luck
try pulling the muffler up and down then toward the bike and away from the bike. it will help spread the end of the muffler pipe and they should come off easier.
I almost herniated myself changing mufflers a few weeks ago! Spray it with Triflow or any lube that has teflon in it. If that doesn't work find a stronger friend to twist them off while you hold the bike.
Same as everyone said but you also might trying letting it warm up then try to get them off. Metal expands when hot. I have a 2012 and that's what done the trick for me. Disclaimer just in case.....Of course after ya run it don't just grab the pipes bare handed use some gloves.

This happend to me when I had my '07 Sporty...I sprayed some Aero-Kroil around them & that made a huge difference. Still took some effort, but eventually they came off. Before putting on new slip-ons, take some emery cloth and clean up the head pipes really good.
