I dropped off the bike (New 2012 Super Glide with Python slip on pipes) at the dealership to find out why I have a decel popping noise.
So the service department just called me and informed me that there is no exhaust leaks and that the fuel pressure was correct. They checked a few other things and all were good.
He advised me that my 'wide open pipes' is normal to have some decel popping. (However, my popping is ridiculous. Every time I shift up, shift down, pull in clutch to coast, do down steep hill at lower gear, etc.)
So he continues to promise me that he is the dyno tune specialist and he recommends I put on ether a Screaming Eagle Race Tuner or a Vance Hines fuel Pac or a Power Commander of some type. He mentioned about 5 PC units. This is were my confusion is.... not sure what to do or to purchase. I can tell you this, I do not plan on doing a stage 2 or 3 to my bike ever. I also heard rumors of PC units going bad after three years and it is something the dealership does not have in stock.
he stated the SERT would be $675 installed and the VH Race Pac would be $400 installed
The bike is still at the dealership and waiting on me to tell them what to do. Can I have some advice?
thanks in advance.
I would pick my bike up and install some XIED's which will richin up your fuel. That should make your decel pop go away and want break the bank either, good luck.

+1 this^^ but since you have a 2012, make sure you buy the correct ones (4wires vs two)
Go on line to the Vance & Hines web site and see what they recommend in the way of a fuelpak and map for your setup. If they don't have a pre-suggested setup for your bike, let them know exactly what you have done and they will let you know what to set up the settings in the fuelpak to.
I also did slip ons only (no breather change) and got excessive decel popping. They responded to me with a suggested map. I bought the fuelpak and the rest is history. If for any reason you are not happy with the change, it is easily undone. (just remove the unit)
Don't know what a XIED is,however a PC is prone to failure! I had one fail and almost stranded me on top of a mountain in November!! My dealer quit stocking them due to lack of reliability.
