I have been really eager to see what they were going to do – and they sure did mix it up. Nothing too drastic. I still love my Street Bob. Defective rear fender/taillight and all. I love my third taillight actually – I prefer it. I wish there was a way to brace it up. The new Bob looks cool too though.
Didn't even notice the blacked out front end. I've have mine done already so I guess it didn't stand out. Rocker boxes aren't black on the standard street bob. I think they saw what people didn't like and made the changes since everything they did is addressed frequently in the forums. It would have been nice not to have spent the money doing that stuff myself.
Blacked out trees, actual risers, blacked out engine trim, no more tail light, Switchback right & left side covers, new paint options, relocated ignition to console, HD 1 options for forward controls & different wheels.
They did it right with this one....they actually listened to what people wanted.
Hopefully great bike gear makes a turn signal relocate that will tuck the plate and sigs up under the chopped fender, like they do for the wide glide. I know a lot of guys here don't like it, but I think it is real clean looking.
Its interesting some of the changes, black wheels, fork lowers and trees, nixing the strut covers, stuff that people on this forum were doing 4-5 years ago. All in all though I like the changes HD has made to the Streetbob.

Strut covers have been gone for awhile now. I didn't have them on my bike. I'm pretty sure if you order the chrome engine package in HD-1 you get strut covers and a chrome dash as well.
