Combination Speedo/Tach Report
With a couple of rides on this and the first full tank of fuel under its belt I went to fill up this morning. Once it was topped up I notice that the miles remaining stays until you move the bike, same as stock, the fuel indicator shows the original reading (not full) for a few seconds them registers full. So how accurate is it you say? Well, with a 5 gallon tank, 47 miles remaining and a quarter tank (or two bars) showing it took 3.697 gallons - just a hair under what I estimated so I would say this thing is pretty darned accurate.
Not sure when the low fuel light comes on just yet, I've not run it down that far yet. On the first ride I thought it might have a photo cell to shut off the back lighting and after a few rides now I'm sure it has - I'd really like to keep the back lighting switched on if possible - anyone have an idea if that is an option that can be set?

i've seen a few guys on this forum with this part.

I got a 1" tank lift.... throws out my tank readings. I don't suppose anyone could tell me if it'd help with that?
Though they look a TINY-bit too flashy for my taste... they look really practical with the tach. They also look easy to read... not like the stocker... I have to squint to see the numbers... I'm asian.. squinting for me is dangerous.
I might get one.... unless I see one that looks more my taste (boring and simple).... but functions just as well.
Thanks for the helpful product review and pic.

I've had mine on for for a few thousand miles and love it. the tach, gear indicator and led color options are great. the low fuel comes on if i remember is 35 miles (been awhile since i went that low). i have the black flush mount fuel cap and gauge and I'm thinking about disconnecting the light on my gas cap fuel gauge.

Anyone have a suggestion for the brightest back light color and is there a way to make it stay on at all times in daylight?
Over 15,000 miles on mine, 2" tank lift, and the gauge works OK, when it says I am empty and the little gas light is light, I still have one gallon of gas left, so there is no way of running out of gas. As far as the gauges for reading, I usually only watch the tack as I am going through the gears, I use the speedometer just to double check speed when needed..
I would love to re-calibrate the speedometer since I am 10 mph off after changing both drive pulleys, but I can live with that for the difference in torque...
