I have a 2011 SGC with 17,000kms when I pull on the front brake there seems to be some surging, kind of like of a car brake pedal and feeling the car jerk a bit, probley cause the rotors or pads are bad, could this be the case with the bike?
check your rotor for a rust spot or some other kind of discoloration like a blue spot. the rotor has a different surface area on a portion where the brake pad has a rougher spot to rub against giving you that feeling. ive seen a hard spot in car rotors that give you that since they wont break in properly. ive also seen it on vehicles that sit alot.
or if your bike has ABS then it could just be pulsing. however it doesnt sound like thats what your feeling.. more then likely low pads and hard braking warped the rotor. good luck
Never thought of that,I use the HD cleaner and it smells like lemon,I always spray on the cloth first but I do the forks with this cleaner also,so maybe, again this is only noticable in parking lot speed, not the highway,no pulsing, surging what so ever when on the highway cruising along at highway speeds.
if you pull the brake lever in partially until it starts to slow and hold and it feels like your manually pulsating the lever your rotor is warped. I noticed this only at slow speeds. When going 60 and slowing you wont feel it....only during the last 30 feet.
