On my 07 at around 24,000 miles I had some wear marking on the front so I just changed them out while I was in there changing the cams anyway. I'm sure they would have been fine but for the most part they last a LOT longer than the old hyvo chain with spring tensioners.
I replaced mine @ 78K mi. (as a preventive measure). The outer one had very little wear at all, the inner one was less than half-way worn down.
A lot depends on your driving behavior, hole shots, high reving bangin' the gears, will warrent a look-see a little earlier. Conservative riding; No worries for many more miles.
yes you should 25 to 30,000 is about when you should inspect and especially the back one just change them if you got it open
not on the hydraulic setup...the newer setup has the roller link chain front and rear so once the side plates wear in there will be very little wear. 25k??? Unless the crank has an extreme amount of runout I wouldn't waste my time looking at them.
