I live by this. To the OP, keep in mind that the PowerVISION is not a piggyback system like the PowerCOMMANDER.

It comes down to three basic questions.

1. How much are you willing to spend?
2. How far are you going to go with modifying the engine in the future?
3. How **** are you about having the "perfect" tune on your bike?

There are a bunch of different solutions out there from Xieds to the PowerVision with the Autotune Pro package (or others) and their prices range from a couple hundred to over 1,000 depending on which route you take.

Great set-up & couldn't be happier! SEPST can be used to tune as many bikes as you choose and is not married to the bike. Also will allow you to do future mods using same software.
I hear good things about he TTS Mastertune also, which is same in principal but more user friendly from what I hear, but if you have a good dyno guy who knows what he's doing user friendliness won't matter.

That's a good deal- peeps I know that got dealership SERT and Dyno laid out a grand. The OP should do as much research as possible: don't know about the SE pro tuner or Powervision, but older TTS uses MT-8 file that locks the ECU, not only marries tuner to bike, but bike to tuner- plug it into Digital Technician, it flags the ECU as locked even with stock tune reloaded; has warranty implications. Older Power Commanders and other Piggy Backs that input to the ECU occasionally short out and fry the ECU, good luck gettin' MOCO to warranty. Only Piggy Back I'd use is one that inputs into system after the ECU like an injector pulse width modulator; a little half-assed, but with the anti-knock on the Delphi, works great for exhaust/intake mods on otherwise stock engine. Wouldn't waste the money on Xieds or Vieds- had 'em, bike didn't run that good and constantly threw codes- shoulda' just spent another $80 in the first place and gotten the fueler I have now.

The V&H Fuel pack is a cheap method to run stage 1. I have it on my bob, but if you are going to do more than stage 1, you will have to upgrade. Mind you, V&H gave me a map for when I put my cams in. Not sure how that will turn out. If it does not, it will be a TTS or a ThunderMax. Each have their own good points, makes it hard to decide. I will be waiting to see how the map works with the cams before I decide on a new tuner.

That's the 2nd time someone has said this recently and it still aint true.

The software and lead can certainly be reused but the VCI itself 'weds' to the bike and won't work on another bike. A pal bought a used one cheap off eBay a while ago and it wouldn't talk to his bike because of this.

+2 I had the fuelpak on my 2009 1200 XLC and it ran fine for about two months and then it crapped out. Nearly threw my butt off the bike. Went home and disconnected it and the bike ran fine again. Like Sharkman said stay away from the piggyback units. On my 2012 Superglide I went with the SEPST dynoed at 78 hp and 90 lb tq with the high flow a/c. Purchased the heavy breather after hearing about it and going in Monday to have it dynoed again.

I am having problems with my 2012 fld, I followed what the hd dealer advised and purchase the screamin eagle super tuner and after visit hd to get the right map still I feel my bike has low torque with no gas mileage. So now I am also planning on buying something like the fuelpak or fi2000 which I am sure would hopefully do a better job that maping done (no dyno machine) available at my hd dealer. I have the se heavy breather and v&h 2-1 twin slash. Please advise this issue is becoming costly

Adding an inline fueler is not gonna help your gas mileage , It will decrease it because it adds fuel to cool engine. My fld was getting about 38 with stage1 download and slip on twinslash from dealor . Thats the best it got. I am running a D&D fatcat with a gen 3 dobeck fueler now and get between 32 and 35 according to how I ride . I have been very disappointed in the mpg and complained to the dealor. He said that it was normal for this bike ..imagine that. youwill feel the power difference , but you probably will lose mileage. However with a powervision or something along that line , you can actually change the afr's and actually get power and economy... Not quite as simple as it sounds
