Going to local dealer tonight to talk 2013 SWITCHBACK
Can anyone tell me if there were any changes from the 2012 Model Year?
In checking the dealer site I see they have a few more 2012 models than 2013 and In case they "make me a deal " on 2012 I want to know if the moco made any changes or improvements etc.
paint. no improvements.. just picked up a 12 a week and a half ago. scheduled my first 1000 mile service for this thursday.. I ordered a set of cobra short swept pipes and a new mustang seat aswell. 6'1 long legs i found with my feet on the boards i put alot of weight on my tailbone so need to switch it up. I love my bike tho. very pleased with it. unless you like the new blue for 13 try and get a deal on a 12. get pipes in with the bike aswell to get rid of the stock vibration issues from the poor exhaust mount for the redigned 2-1 they put on the FLD.. it will only cost and extra couple dollars a month and sound amazing right from the start. good luck and wish you luck.
p.s. my dad just got 2000 takin off a 12 streetglide cuz they wanted to "get it out the door" so start there and work them hard. dont let them fast talk ya. i got 1500 off my 12! happy riding!!

Did you get those pipes on yet?
How easy or hard was it to change and are you or did you change the air filter and get it tuned.
I just got a delivery of the same pipes and gonna put them on tomorrow, or at least give it a go. I've changed pipes on a 76 FLH and 80's sporty, but that was simple (apart from getting the buggers off)
Also just added a bare bones solo seat which makes the bike look so much better, and like you, being a bit taller makes you sit a bit easier, although not much padding, so short rides with the solo only. I'll just put the originals back on for anything more than a hours ride.
Merry Xmas.
cheers
John
I purchaced the 2012 SB. When talking to the salesman I asked if it was a 2013 and he said yes.. So I thought it was a 2013 until I got home later and pulled out the owners manual and it said 2012. I pick it up tomorrow.. I paid 15579.00 thinking it was 2013. In reading the threads you all seem to agree.... no improvements... do you think I should make a big deal about it or just right it off.. After all... it is my first harley I paid cash and it only has 3 miles on it.. what do you think???
what is stage 1??? Sorry for my ignorance, it wont last long Im educating myself on harley's as we speak.. By the way there are some kick ars bikes in this forum!!
