It's your bike to do with as you wish (just don't say anything about Outlaw style bike or you'll start **** storm and you'll have bunch of people with their panties in a bunch)
THis is true lol! your bike looks great how it is imo but it is your bike do what you want I have changed mine 3 times just got it back on the road and already lookin at new bars as stated above "you are never done thats how it is "
you are not crazy .... I doubt anyone is ever completely happy with the end product of their bike .... whether it be looks or performance. Change it up, ride it and enjoy .... then start all over again.
I went through the same thing, but mine was due to needing the bike to be more comfortable. I miss the way my bike looked before but I'm much happier riding it now.
do what you want, if you don't like it, change it.
I might be the only one that is done with mine. I turn wrenches for a living so the last thing I want to do is wrench on my free time, I couldn't be happier with the outcome, and am completely done. The only thing I've added in 2 1/2 years is a jockey shift.
MX your bike is hella fresh man! I enjoy the current style and look of my bike, but holy **** is it not practical. I ride long distances almost every weekend, and after a few hours **** gets uncomfortable. Just trying to soul search to find out if I can get over this form over function nostalgia i have.
a more comfortable seat with a backrest and some highway pegs would make a world of difference. I can ride 500+ miles/day on my touring setup and be back to the minimalist look in less than 5 minutes.
Just buy another one, and make it into the touring bike you've always wanted... Or do like MXerwithaBob. I convert my Dyna from solo to two-up to bagger on a regular basis (even if it doesn't look as sweet as MXer's).
