Default Starter issue need help

So tiptoe seemed that the sylanoid went on my starter so replaced it and had old starter to be rebuilt got a call that starter was fine old one. So after install of new starter it had same issue upon further examination and a spark show I discovered the wire for the sylanoid was partially cut I pulled the starter to fix the wire by stripping it using a splice and shrink wrap put it all together still no good.

I'm not real clear what you are asking here. A period and a comma would help me understand what's happen/not happen here.

You say the new starter has the same issues but we don't know what those issues are.
Everything that is power related on a bike, like the starter, starts with a GOOD battery, GOOD cables and GOOD/CLEAN/TIGHT connections.
I would pull the battery out (maybe replace it) and clean it and all the heavy cables associated with it. Check the solenoid switch wire for other problems, use a test light to make sure it is working. Maybe check the fuses, remove and re-install to make sure they have a good connection.

For all I can tell maybe the engine is locked up.maybe he needs to run the starter off the bike. So tiptoe?

Not sure what "issue" you're experiencing since you don't elaborate, but I do know that starter relays go out on these bikes so often that I keep a spare in my saddle bag. Surprising how many people will take your spare while on a ride when their's goes out and not replace it for you OR give you the $13 it costs. Someday, I'm going to quit being such a nice guy.

Splicing a high current power line together is not always the best way to go. It should be replaced.

Also the smell could be because of a poor connection at some point (perhaps the repair point?) in the main wiring overheating as it's trying to draw the heavy starter load from the battery.

Spell check from the iPad screwed my post up sorry it wasn't clear and intend to ramble, I'll start over. The bike was clicking as if the sylanoid was bad, that day if I smacked the started it would start. I purchased a new starter and dropped my old starter off to be rebuilt. Before I installed the new starter the rebuilder said the old one was fine and needed no work. I installed the new starter anyway and was just getting clicking when attempting to start it. I put my starter relay in a friends bike and it worked fine so that's ruled out. Then just double checking the wireing I had a spark show the sylanoid wire was half cut and grounded out to the starter. I removed the starter and used a but connector to fix that wire reinstalled starter and wiring and same clicking issue. All the wiring for starter is otherwise in great shape. I tested the battery it's at 100%. Any info is helpful also how can I jump the starter like a car starter?
