The Fat Bob has the best brakes of any current HD....there has to be something wrong with yours. My FXDC had this problem when new...turned out to be an air bubble in the brake line.
I have about 300 miles on my Fat Bob now. Brakes are getting better but jump on my new Ultra classic with 500 miles and thought i was going to go over bar how fast and easy it stops. Should be the other way around
If you have 1000 miles or more and still think the brakes suck, switch to some sintered EBC Pads. They made a HUGE difference on my single disc FXDB.
Before spending money, he should take the bike to the dealer and have the brakes checked out. The dual disc setup on the fat bob is one of the best brake setups Harley has. My SB stops on a dime with a single brake setup, so sounds like something is wrong with his brakes.
To the op why do you keep comparing your brakes to other models, etc? If the brakes don't feel right to you (ie weak) why keep posting about it instead of getting them checked out for free??? Warranty, use it
Brakes may feel different from bike to bike, no surprise there. Just because they feel different, one should not feel "horrible". Take it back to the dealer if it still feels wrong and ask him to recheck and adjust if necessary. Also take a demo ride on a 2013 Fat Bob to compare for yourself.
Well, I think you might have problem....................Just from reading all of this.
I have a 2010 Fatbob, I have spanked the motor and get triple digits in both horsepower and torque, with bone stock brakes and my bike will flat stop you (the bike) in a heartbeat
