Took half a day off on my birthday to go on a ride yesterday, hit a recess on the road that I could'nt avoid, I felt my rear 412 11 inch bottom up, stop for break and notice oil all over my right side rear fender, looks I have busted the shock,
Went back home immediately, check everything to see anything else broke and it looks only the right Shock busted, I went quickly to order a new set, I have a planned ride next weekend with my brother,
So the question is, how many of you out there had similar issues? I actually like very much the 412, can these be repaired?

Check with progressive for possible warranty rebuild, but yes they can be rebuilt. It just might cost you money out of pocket since it was a road hazard failure, but it will be cheaper than a new shock.
Mine did the same thing but because I wasn't the original owner, the warranty did not apply. When I called progressive, they were very nice but could only tell me the repairs could be $60-$300. In the short time I had them, I wasn't impressed enough to spend the money and have them repaired.
I bought a set from ebay. The right one blew out on me and blew the shock oil all over the bike. I sent them back to progressive and they sent me a new set.
I want to put a set on a 2010 wide glide...Do they make one that is a little longer than stock(i think 12.5")...Looking to get a little more clearance....
Thanks everyone for the feedback, mine were standards and before this I was very happy with them, I have ordered a new set and hopefully I will not hit any big hazards in the future, what I hit was a dimple in the pavement, like the road foundation washed away under it, they were no cracks, no visible signs until it was 20 feat in front of me, at 60mph on a single lane country road, made the decision to take this head on- knowing that I am not riding a motocross.
I wanted a slammed bike, can't expect everything to be perfect
