Got my Defender back on the road. I did a SE cam plate & oil pump, Headquarters cams, CV Performance jet kit, Supertrapp pipes, FXDX shocks, Black Sportster bars, levers, SE mirrors, rebuilt the front brakes. LED headlight & turn signals. More to follow, I'm going for a ride.
How do you like the cvp kit. Was thinking of buying one.
I like it. I'm still adjusting the carb. I know there's cheaper ways of tuning a carb. The CVP is user friendly, easy instructions and they have videos on youtube. What sold me is the replacement mixture jet and idle adjustment have big knurled heads which are easy to adjust.
What fairing is that on ur bike? Looks great how it is.
Harley 1/4 fairing. Worth the money. It actually blocks the wind from blasting your chest. The the bike handles better at high speeds, feels more stable.
What cam? Was it the 0034? How do you like it? Bike looks great. I think I want to paint my tins white. Just haven't fully committed to it yet.
Yes, 0034. I originally bought them to put in my Road Glide. It's a low-mid range torque cam with horse power. I wasn't impressed when I first rode with it. Then I got up in the hills and the power just rolls on, you hit 90 fast!!! I was going to put it in the RG with a 95" bore, ported heads with 10:1 compression. Now I'm thinking about putting those parts in my Dyna. I think it would haul ***. White was a default color being a cop bike. I was going to paint it, but it's grown on me now.
