Dyna backbone / tank question

Default Dyna backbone / tank question
I am in the process of putting together everything that I will need to make a new (skinny) tank for the Dyna this winter. (I have a 2000 Superglide)

Question:

My buddy has a tank off of a 1998 Wide Glide that he wrecked and I am wondering if the tunnel off of his tank will fit the backbone on my 2000 (the tunnel is all that I need). If the tank was local I would just try it out but he is out of town and I can get this tank for shipping cost only.

Any info would be greatly appreciated

It should fit, I put a wide glide tank on my FXD, no issues.

That is what I am thinking but am not sure if the Moco changed the backbone (width, angle, etc.) at all during the years of 98 to 2000?

Does anyone know if the backbone is different on the 98 wide glide / 2000 superglide?
