Home maintenance tool kit?
If you were putting together a tool kit for home maintenance, what tools and other equipment would it contain? I hope I won't be doing drive train rebuilds, just routine and preventative maintenance stuff.

H-D Service Manual is the first 'tool' to have, after that would be basic wrenches(both SAE & Metric), Torx/Star wrenches, Torque wrench, socket sets of both SAE & Metric, assortment of screwdrivers, Blue Loctite, thread-locker, anti-sieze, Accu-Gage for checking tire pressure, air-pump, MityVac, a good trouble light, brake-cleaner and some detailer. There are many more.
A proper motorcycle lift for a Dyna (J&S or Pitbull)is a must-have.

Here's the tools I use on my 2003 FDX for the regular service jobs.
Metric sizes overview is in the ***dyna models metric sizes database***
Torx bits, AF and metric Allen head bits and L spanners, AF and metric hex sockets:
AF and metric spanner sets:
Circlip plier for inside clips (clutch)
Multi meter for electronics:
Torx T27 bit for derby cover:

Basic standard and metric wrench set
Basic standard and metric socket set
1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" ratchet drive extensions.
Basic standard and metric Allen wrench set
3/8 drive star bit set ( torn )
3/8 drive in/lb torque wrench
1/2" ( or 3/8" ) drive ft/lb torque wrench.
Basic standard crows feet wrench set.
Cheap 11/16 deep barrel socket with a 1/2" hex nut tack welded to the top.
Blue thread locker, antiseze, thread sealer
Oil drain catch pan and funnel
Service book and parts book.
Ratchet straps
I think that's it.

Surprisingly, it looks like I've already got everything but the service manual, which I ordered today, and the lift, which I'll get this weekend.
So, they really used a combination of SAE & metric hardware? Is that due to outsourcing stuff?

I knew that I just had to wait for it. This tool helps to adjust the clutch. It fits the jamb nut under the derby cover. Research "clutch adjustment".
