Angry Help a guy out with Fi2000

Hey guys, its been one heck of a week trying to get this tuner sorted out first i got the wrong tuner in the right box and then the company misplaced my replacement.. bottom line i just received it in the mail and hooked it up and the bike runs great... only the check engine light is on and i pulled the codes they are 'inactive front and rear o2 senors' due to the fact that you have to bypass them with the new tuner.. ive got a call into cobra and they are going thru the motions but im on a time crunch and ive been putting in a ton of work to make sure im ready for bikes and blues..

i'm beyond exhausted with this project, so im asking the guru's out there anyone else ran into this if so whats the solution and how do you guys feel about me running 200miles with the check engine light?? i know its tacky being a 2012 but i havent missed a BBB in 5yrs and im not about to start...

thanks for any and all help...

and yes ive researched until im blue in the face and im aware that the power vision is probably a superior tuner but i made my choice..

take out the cobra for now and enjoy the BBB. You can deal with it when you get back.

I use the FI2000R. I have used Cobra on a few bikes and it works great.

Why did you bypass the 02 Sensors?

Mine attached right to them and works fine.

I just put a powrpro on my 2011 wideglide 2 nights ago. I know its stupid but as a techy dude I always start with the easiest solutions first... pulling the connections apart and reconnecting them and make sure they click! the front censor on mine was pretty tough and I thought it was in but when I double checked realized it hadn't made the click noise. Also I assume you looked at the actual powrpro unit? it should blink a couple times when you turn the ignition on then go off, then stay lit up when the bike is running. Did the check engine light come on immediately or after a while? I connected mine and took it for a 15 min ride, and I agree, it runs better than ever.. keep us updated man, goodluck with it!

I have an 09 and have been running with no problems.
Runs solid.
I was thinking it may be your grounding wire.
Hope your happier now.
I run in all weather, plenty of rain and I still am very happy with it.
Two years and counting.
Good wire routing, casing, dielectric grease on the connections.

Default Cobra Tuner

I Agree with Stilup
HTML Code:
I was thinking it may be your grounding wire.
I also had some problems with my Fi2000. When I first installed it, the bike would hesitate while cruising. Eventually, Cobra sent a unit that had an adjustment dial inside. The bike ran great for a while, but eventually started hesitating again. Then when I unhooked the negative from the battery to install my turn-signal mirrors, the connector for the wire from the tuner just fell to the floor. I put another connector on and the bike now runs strong again.

Sometimes it's the simplest things.
