I like the idea of putting it right behind the battery, but I have a battery bag on my bike so not sure if it would fit between the bag and shock.

This pouch is meant to hold my collapsible cane.
The battery box is the same dimensions as the electrical caddy, methinks... but the primary may block that space, how about the batt bag holding on the forks or frame down tube?
What kind of handlebars do you have? Can you mount the holster horizontally on the inside of the bars? I'd stay away from the shock mounting idea. How about behind one of thos cafe racer mini fairings? Good luck with it.
We have made mounts for canes using clips like this (spring loaded broom clip) the one i made was on top of a trunk rack and the other was on the rail of a pick up truck bed. used the same clips, just powder coated them for appearance and durability. Worked great! I would fab up clips to go around the fat bob down tubes. Let us know if we can help at all man
Have a collapsible cane from Target that I stuff in a long black sock and put that in my under-the-headlight tool bag. Keep the handle in the toolbag and let the tip barely stickout. This is was on my 2010 Fat Bob. My cane is black, sock keeps it folded together. Never could figure out what to do with the govt/VA alum cane...too bulky. Good luck. Elmo
Well I finally got some time this weekend to try and figure something out about mounting this thing. Here is what I have come up with, right behind the shock. For now I have it held on there with a cable tie until I can come up with somehting better.
