I was hoping that I could get some help ID'ing this quarter fairing... It came on my bike when I bought it, and I really like the look, as well as the fact that it keeps the wind off pretty well at highway speeds! I did want to order a new windscreen for it, and a new/correct mounting kit, because It seems to me that it took a fair amount of redneck engineering to get it mounted the way it currently is, and I was hoping that the correct kit might offer a little bit more adjustment for where it sits...
I am thinking that this is an Arlen Ness fairing, the bike is a 2002 superglide, and has the narrow front end...
I agree, and those wind screens can be buffed out using the same procedure as buffing paint. So if you cant find a new wind screen just buff it out by hand with some Meguiars Ultimate Compound, then Finish it with Meguiars Carnauba wax.
I think I am going to send an email through the Ness website and see if anyone there has any ideas.
Looking at the pictures, I may leave the windscreen alone, but in person it has a very "pink" tint to it, and if one looks closely they can tell that an M/C member used to own it, as there is a very slight shadow of the sticker that was on the windscreen, so I think that buffing it out or maybe painting the interior with plasti-dip or something is propbably in order.
