Hello everyone. How can you touch up powdercoat on the fins of the cylinders. I sent out my heads and cylinders to be bored etc and tthey came back with powdercoat missing from the fins in certain areas it's not a lot not even sure its noticeable but I know it's there would appreciate any belp tbanks
my best advice to you is if you can barley notice it leave it because no one else will notice it. IF you try to mess with it, it will get worse. Like bobber said, the only way to FIX is re coat. Now is it was on the tank or something I could give you some tips.
that is prob where they clamped the jugs for boring... i have had several customers ask me about this and not want to tear down the motor after it is rebuilt. you can get the small touch up bottle, it is $11 and part number 98600BF
i have some in my shop right now you get 2 small bottles and it works great! as said above the RIGHT way is to powder them (if you decide to do this we are more than happy to help you out) but if you just want to touch up the really small clamp sections the provided info will work great
Thanks for the replys everyone. HD dealership service mngr tryin to get me to have the jugs diamond cut I knew there had to be a cheaper way than spending 450, but I'm pissed sent heads and jugs to Cycle Rama and really didn't expect them to be returned like that, if I get the hp and tq I was told I could get or very close to it I'd probably forget about it THANKS
