Default Need help customizing!!!

I'm new here, sold my vrod Monday and picked up a 2000 superglide sport last night. I drove it home and immediately knew everything I need to change. Here is a list of need-to-change-now items: bars and risers, pegs, turn signal relocation, license plate lay-down and rear shocks(maybe cut down).
So my question is, I'm on a slight budget and was wondering the best place to shop? Is there any discounts for being a member or who has the best products? Thanks guys. Oh and I loved the ride....way more enjoyable than the vrod!!!!

A word of advise. Don't modify those shocks, they are a hot commodity. The FXDX is very sought after and brings a nice price on the market, so if you want something slammed with forward controls you could probably sell it and get into a Street Bob or something with no loss.

BTW - Looks almost identical to mine when I bought it, Same color too. I made a lot of changes, looking back I would not have changed the tank or color, the red looks good with the all black.

Mine was originally the black pearl color, I loved it! But this red / maroon is hard to beat!

I would take it a little at a time. First figure out what you want it to look like when done and then go from there. That's what I did just taking my time with it

Nice ride. I traded my NightRod for the Dyna, best thing I've done in a long time.

Besides paint and powdercoating (nice job, Joe) everything I've done on my bike has been done with used parts. Get an idea of what you want, don't be in a hurry, and watch ebay and the forum's classifieds like a hawk. I've spent less than 50% of new prices on everything.
