Looks like a fun project. Is the swingarm HD or are you getting yours chromed? As far as working in a cold garage (davidchristopher), what I do is take my bar-b-que tank and mount a gas heater attachment onto the propane canister and fire it up. Believe me, you'll be warm in no time. You can get them at Lowe's/Home Depot for about 30-40 bucks.
Or...if you is a hick like me, get you a 55 gallon drum -wood burner kit. Gotta open the door and cool down once she gets a roarin' (back of shop in attachment) 'spose to be -25 f w/ the wind chill tonight!
I also had mine torn apart putting on chrome swingarm, brakecaliper, brake rotor, belt sprocket, axle adjuster bolts, and axle covers. Also installed the diamondback braidedbrake line. Mine was a little warmer, it's in the living room....Also installed the HD low profile shocks.

My old lady would just kill me!
I have a round kerosene heater that works very good in the building!
Well, just me and the 2 Austrailian Shepherds here, they don't have a clue what I am doing as long as they get fed! lol! I just finished getting mine back together except for the pipes. I have been looking for the chrome left side passenger footpeg support but it is no longer available! Guess I could get it chromed...
Looks great Naz_Man. I put a chrome swingarm on a 1200 Sporty a few years ago and you're right. It's not an easy job. You did the right thing having the bearing's pressed in.

I got lucky getting the chrome passenger foot peg support, My dealer called all over the country and found one, had them ship it to them and I picked it up. Guess you'll just have to have it chromed! Chrome Pros are good.
